fuchsia or teal?

If you had to choose one of these colors for your front door,
would you select fuchsia or teal?

I love them both,
but I think I'd have to go with the teal!

one pop of hot pink

Do you want to make a real impact in a room?

Upholster a chair or sofa in a luxurious hot pink fabric
in an otherwise neutral room,
and I don't think you'll be sorry!

A lone pink velvet chair, seen in domino.

Pink bergere from beautiful serendipity.

A wing chair with nail head details from pink peonies.

A tufted classic cane chair from the pursuit of style.

My plum design shows us this modern day bed in hot pink.

If Lee Radziwill has a pink sofa, you know it's a good thing!

to be happy, it's all that matters.”

the 20's are roaring on Downton Abbey

I am so ready for the season premiere of
Downton Abbey on January 4!

After seeing these photos of season five, I can see that the attention to details will once again be amazing with the costumes, jewelry and hair styles. They spare no expense in recreating all the fabulous details of that era!

 Aren’t the sparkly headbands specacular?

Lady Mary always looks stunning.

Here she is with little George in
matching navy blue outfits.

Lady Cora in all her fine details.

I have no idea how George Clooney is going to fit in!

Beautiful period dresses in such pretty colors!

Will there be a wedding?

What will happen with her lover and love child?

What a great decade for style!

Cute hat, Lady Edith.

I like them as a couple.  How about you?

Oh, the details on this black trimmed dress!

Who's your favorite character?

a pantry made in heaven

and the kitchen that goes with it

This would be my ultimate dream pantry.

 I love the open shelving,
beadboard backing and clear glass jars.

The baskets add texture and warmth.

Pretty drawers and deeper open shelving below.

And finished off with clear french doors
so one can admire the pantry’s contents.

A sliding ladder completes the look.

The kitchen itself is not too shabby!

This kitchen also features a roomy
 banquet for plenty of seating.

A glamorous laundry room connects
the kitchen to the outdoors.

To view the rest of this dream house,
 visit Hayburn & Co.

While I’m here today, I wanted to share some of my "Tablescaping Essentials" with you. I have a whole page on the Amazon website with my favorite picks for setting a beautiful table.

Quite often time is of the essence, and I have last minute projects or events to work on, so I turn to Amazon for one or two day delivery. You’d be surprised at how many amazing items they have to offer! And I'm constantly updating this page with my new favorites.

You can check it out here, at Tablescaping Essentials.
